VP of Revenue Cycle
Seeking a strategic head or AR business partner to oversee and lead the strategic AR operations for a stable and growing healthcare organization located in Nashville, TN. The position is responsible for the overall strategic operations of the A/R management Department and all revenue cycle functions, including but not limited to, billing, accounts receivable (AR), cash management requirements, bad debt, managed care contractual terms and requirements, health insurance practices, industry regulatory requirements, business office operations, AR and financial reporting technology, basic accounting, and industry standards for healthcare revenue cycle management. Position will have strategic oversight for Revenue Cycle, Managed Care and Credentialing.
Essential Functions:
- Overall strategic responsibility for revenue cycle operations to ensure timely billing and collections.
- Ensure that all revenue cycle management activities are performed consistently with overall department protocol and are in compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory agencies.
- Implement and maintain the policies and procedures that will allow the A/R management department to keep pace with the aggressive growth of the company.
- Set and monitor minimum standards for patient scoring, collection decision matrix and incentive goals for staff.
- Ensures that all processing and reporting deadlines are consistently achieved.
- Supervise, train, coach and motivate staff.
- Analyze and resolve problems that affect the claim submission process.
- Financially analyze data for operations, budgeting, auditing, and forecasting.
- Establish strategic operating relationship with the CEO, COO and center operation levels.
- Assess and impact the revenue cycle and analysis.
- Ensures that all processing and reporting deadlines are consistently achieved.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- 5+ years experience in an Associate VP/Sr. Director role within a Billing and Collections department.
- Proven track record of collaborating and presenting data analytics/metrics with C Suite
- Strong knowledge of CPT, HCPCA, ICD-10 coding.
- In-depth experience in health care revenue cycle process.
- Experience with electronic medical records and data management.
- Educational requirements: BS minimum
- Proficient in MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
- Staffing and financial reporting skills. Must have experience with managing large team with 50+ departmental organization size
- Strong analytical skills.
